Uplifting and Inspiring When We Need It the Most

I read Twenty Won hoping to find inspiration to expand my freelancing business. I found the women’s unique stories very inspiring! I often feel like I suffer from Impostor Syndrome because I took a long break from work to raise my babies. Kelli Komondor’s chapter on Impostor Syndrome really helped me see that I am not alone and if she can be successful, so can I.
One of the other things that really helped and inspired me are the tips from Renee DeMichiei Farrow. I felt like she gave very helpful and easy to follow advice. I especially liked Tip #6. I am a big believer in women helping women succeed in business. We have to work together instead of against each other if we are all going to succeed. This is also Renee’s message.
There were chapters from young mothers who were juggling childcare and working from home. As a mother of young children, I really related to those chapters. Until the pandemic hit, I had no idea how difficult it would be to try and balance those two very important parts of my life. I was relieved to read that even those these women were successful, they also found it challenging.
I really enjoyed reading Twenty Won and feeling like I got to know each author on a personal level. I will definitely use what I learned in this book to help me expand my freelancing business. I would definitely recommend this book to friends.

Twenty Won, won my heart.

Twenty Won, won my heart. The inspiration of each unique story interwoven with the grit, resilience, and sheer will to succeed for every one of these women was incredibly uplifting. Especially within the year of chaos and uncertainly we all lived through! They demonstrated time and time again that when you take a leap of faith, and basically “bet on yourself” you will always win. Maybe not always in the measurable “outcome” each time, but certainly in the lessons that help shape who you are.

This book was full of passion and insight and I resonated so deeply with several of the stories I was moved to tears...certain that they were writing those words just for me! It was a beautiful reminder that as women, we have so much power within us and that we always have the ability to CHOOSE.

It’s often just a matter of allowing ourselves to choose what we truly desire in life. To let the external expectations and internal mind games fall away so that we can focus intently on our true purpose and how we are meant to serve in the world. Because in the end, as several of the authors stated, we do not want to “surrender our dreams to our insecurities” nor do we want to abandon our truest self. As passionate women, we must not lose our fidelity to ourselves... because at the end of the day, regret stings much more fiercely than any challenge or obstacle that we encounter along the way.

This book served as a great reminder that as difficult as it may be, we’ve got to periodically take a “pulse check”. We must look intently at ourselves in the mirror, and understand (deep in our bones) that “no one keeps us from our gifts except ourselves.” That, in my opinion, is mindset mastery at its finest.

Overall, I felt that this beautiful work was a raging cry for women everywhere to stop censoring the most beautiful parts of our souls. We must get out there. Wholly, flawed and full of purpose and light. That is how we change ourselves, our families, our communities and it’s surly how we begin to change the world. One heart at a time.

Twenty Won is a must read for any woman striking out on her own. It’s a collective battle cry reminding us that we are not alone and that we MUST BE BRAVE in this one life we are bestowed. I loved every single word.

Twenty Won - Winning Account from Women Difference Makers

This was a fabulous read! I learned something from each female entrepreneur. Each woman’s story, experience, and advice was compelling. I feel as though I can carry something forward in my own toolbox - in my work life and in my personal life. I believe that these women can motivate anyone to learn from their experiences and to find a way through challenging times.

Inspirational. “CAN DO” ATTITUDE.

I just finished reading TWENTY ONE and feel like such a slacker. Each of these 21 women had a vision. They worked through their problems, figured out a solution, and succeeded. Some made mistakes along the way, but they never took their eye off the ultimate goal. It gives us slackers hope. haha

Near the end of the book Kelli A. Komondor, the author, states that the word SUPPORT was used 66 times, INSPIRATION 17 times, STRENGTH 14 times, etc… This is what I discovered…COVID was used 37 times and PANDEMIC was used 62 times! Here is what is so impressive about these numbers. When the entire world was shutting down these 21 women figured out a way to keep their individual business progressing, and some even initiated a business. WOW!

Read and heed this book. It is full of positive energy and inspiration!

Food for my soul!

During a dark time in our county I found this book to be a light at the end of the tunnel. As a woman and mother and future entrepreneur I was incredibly inspired by the stories shared by these incredible women. I found myself in tears frequently throughout the book because I was able to identify so closely with the struggles these women face and the enormous amount of courage it took for them to persevere. I already can’t wait for the second book from Kelli Komondor! Keep them coming! People like me need to hear this stuff. It was food for my soul.
